Lisa Spaull is an Independent Dance Artist based in North Wales. Since graduating with a BA Degree in Dance from Chichester University, Lisa has worked in the UK, Canada and China and has over 15 years experience, delivering dance projects to all ages and abilities in a variety of settings.
Lisa has been the recipient of a number of Arts Council of Wales grants to create her own work as well as Training and Research projects.
Lisa has received numerous commissions from Dawns-i-Bawb, New Dance, Bangor Sound City, Blinc Digital, Dance Shorts, Venue Cymru and People Dancing. Her work has been toured to various festivals, events, theatres, schools across Wales and England.
Lisa collaborates with Rob Spaull/Mediapod to create dance on film. Their films have been shown at film festivals in Burgandy, France, Vo’Arte Film Festival in Lisbon, Portugal and with Migrations touring film programme across Wales.
Lisa became Dance Buddy with Venue Cymru in 2013; a scheme run by Creu Cymru to promote relationships between dance artists and venues.
In 2014, Lisa and Rob set up Little Light Dance and Digital Theatre Company, which makes dance theatre shows for family audiences and runs the Family Dance Project based at Venue Cymru.
Lisa regularly works with Kate Lawrence and Everybody Dance on Vertical Dance and Aerial Dance projects across the UK and Europe, and also tutors regularly for Hijinx Theatre and Conwy Arts Services.
